Meet Lisa 

Lisa Thomson is an entrepreneurial leader who has walked the path of growing a business with resilience and success.

 

I'm Lisa Thomson, an entrepreneurial Fractional/Portfolio Head of People/HRD with a niche background in building and leading HR and People functions in startup, high growth and scaling businesses. I thrive acting as an integral and embedded member of leadership and management teams in innovative purpose-driven environments. My significant experience in designing, setting up and operating international HR/People functions and working with founders, investors and leadership teams has involved successfully implementing future proof, scalable global People strategies. I am proud to have extensive generalist experience in UK/US and European HR.

 

Having previously built and successfully sold and exited my last consultancy Purpose HR which was tailored to this market, I am entrepreneurial, highly commercial, pragmatic and perform my best work in fast paced environments where I can deliver and contribute strategically whilst taking a hands on approach to operational priorities.

 

Values led, purpose driven and passionate about building diverse, inclusive cultures I enjpoy helping founders and leaders create human-centric workplaces where people and teams can achieve their potential. I also sits as a Board Trustee on several non-profit Boards, provide mentoring to startups via Codebase, Techscaler and Barclays Eagle Labs and hold an Executive Certificate in Coaching and Mentoring practice from the Edinburgh Coaching Academy, and is a qualified NLP Practitioner. I can provide 1:1 executive and leadership coaching to business leaders, founders, commercial people and executives. Currently available for fractional, portfolio, interim or contract senior People/HR opportunities.
